GEOGRAPHY

In relation to the rest of the country, Gotham is on the East Coast, in about the same place as New York, though New York also exists in the DCU. This means we can presume the two are relatively close to one another and that Gotham is in New York state. Gotham is made up of several islands connected by bridges at the mouth of the Gotham River. Gotham City is joined to mainland New York state (Sommerset specifically) by the Brown Bridge, Trigate Bridge, Mooney Bridge, and a small bridge that runs from Coral District to Sommerset.
