Opera House

District:

Once upon a time, the Gotham City Opera House staged nothing but the highest class stage performances be it operas, ballets, or plays. Now a days, the venue offers a bit more variety in its performances though Mr. Mousseau, the owner, would prefer it hadn’t changed. But he has to pay the bills to maintain the building somehow.

  • While the occasional opera or ballet still perform, more often the shows are musicals, stage plays, or stand up comedian acts.

  •

  • The interior is lavish with velvet seats and everything you would expect an opera house to be. It is impeccably maintained as the owner believes that high art deserves to be housed appropriately.

  •

  • If your phone goes off during a show and you’re caught, the ushers take down your name and re-admittance to the venue is barred. They take respecting the art of theater seriously.

  •

  • The theatrics haven’t always been known to come from the productions themselves. Despite that, Mousseau refuses to add additional security measures as he feels it ruins the integrity of building and the art it hosts.

  •

  • There’s a cat that lives backstage that the staff have taken to calling Phantom.
