District: West Side

Woody Doherty, who owns the deli, is the third Woody in his family, named after his father, who was named after his father. The deli was passed along with it. They sell meat, sandwiches, and other prepared food— and are known to be quite good. Plus the place is clean. In the West Side, sometimes that’s all you can ask for.

Half the deli was destroyed by a fire in the early 80s. Woody and his father rebuilt it, and somehow the accident gave them an increase in popularity with the neighborhood
Fresh meat is delivered on Mondays and Thursdays
The deli is closed on Sundays
