New Town informally known as Gotham Village is certainly unlike any other district. In fact, if you didn’t know any better, you might not think it’s Gotham at all, at least until the gargoyles break the illusion. The streets have a peaceful feel to them, and there are a large number of small shops that make their home here. It’s a district that’s both middle class and lower-middle class with fairly affordable housing for the typical income. It is popular with artists and performers and has a slight bohemian vibe.

  • - Most of Gotham’s musicians and bands are formed in Gotham Village.

  • - Occasionally you’ll see people who are really… eccentric. A lot of street

  •   performers come from the area and will practice their acts locally.

  • - Really popular with recent college graduates and some adults who were

  •   active participants in the Hippie Generation.

  • - One of the most liberal areas in the city; people are generally friendly and

  •    accepting, in stark contrast to other parts of the city, where even looking

  •    someone in the street can get you shanked.

  • -  Most people use bikes instead of cars— actually, many people don’t even

  •    have cars.
